University Accommodation
We have 198 self catered flats with space for 950 students in the centre of the city. Our flats cost between £96.60 and £97.86 per week. You can see details of our flat developments here.
Our standard tenancies are for 38 weeks from early September to late May. All nurses and some Postgraduates are given 50 week tenancies where appropriate.
We also have 71 bed spaces at iQ, an external accommodation provider. These rooms are en suite and priced at £124 per week with the University discount. You will be given the option to select a preference for this accommodation on your application form. Students offered iQ accommodation will sign a 42 week tenancy with iQ and not with Edinburgh Napier University.
Fully completed applications received before 5pm on 27 August 2012 will be guaranteed accommodation, provided they meet the following criteria:
- Students who have accepted an Unconditional offer to study at Edinburgh Napier University
(Conditional offers cannot apply until their offer is made unconditional)
- Undergraduate students in their first year of study at Edinburgh Napier University
- Students staying for the full academic year (or second trimester for applications taken in November)
- Students who live out side Edinburgh and do not have an EH post code
We welcome applications from care leavers even if you currently reside within the Edinburgh area and have a range of measures in place to support you.
When you apply for our accommodation, you will be asked to make a £500 advance rent payment. This will secure your offer of accommodation. This is paid through our secure online payment system as part of the online application process (please note Edinburgh Napier University does not accept Maestro payments). You will set up a payment plan for your future rent installment following your allocation email. Details of options available can be found on the Rents and Payments page.
A Guarantor Form will also be required from you. It should be completed and posted back to the Accommodation Office prior to collecting your key.
If you do not meet the above criteria and would like some help in finding accommodation, please have a look at our Private Sector page.
