The Scottish Resource Centre for Women in Science Engineering and Technology sets out to create sustainable change for the participation of women in the SET (Science, Engineering, Technology) sectors in Scotland through:
- Changing employment practices and workplace cultures to support gender equality;
- Supporting the recruitment, retention, return and success of women where they are significantly under-represented.
The Scottish Resource Centre is part of the Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Creative Industries at Edinburgh Napier University. We are a partner of The UKRC, delivering UKRC services in Scotland.

What we do...
The Scottish Resource Centre for Women in Science, Engineering and Technology at Edinburgh Napier University, works with:
Employers
We are working with employers to encourage them to increase the number of part-time jobs and family-friendly contracts for women working in science, engineering and technology fields.
Women with Qualifications in Science, Engineering and Technology
We support qualified women in Scotland to progress in their careers in science, engineering and technology. There are an estimated 50,000 women across the UK who are qualified but not working in science, engineering and technology-related jobs.
Students on Science, Engineering and Technology Programmes
We work with female science, engineering and technology students in colleges and universities across Scotland, developing networks that will support their careers, through Interconnect.
We are also running diversity training for all apprentices and students in the Built Environment, with ConstructionSkills.
