Our Sighthill campus serves more than 5,000 students and staff of the Schools of Life, Sport & Social Sciences and Nursing, Midwifery & Social Care. Facilities include life-like hospital wards, a clinical skills suite, sports science labs and our [EN]GAGE sports centre.
Our Sighthill campus was completely refurbished in 2011 and is situated to the west of the city centre. It's home to two schools:
As befits a centre for science, our Sighthill campus boasts all the facilities required for group and independent study as well as technical research. It's also home to our [EN]GAGE sports centre, where you can take part in a wide variety of sports, use the gym or attend one of the many regular fitness classes.

Our Sighthill campus is well-served by public transport to and from the centre of the city, including the Edinburgh Trams system. In addition, there are numerous cycle paths in the area and bike storage facilities on site.
Several Lothian Buses services from the city centre stop close to the campus:
- Services 3,21,25,32,34 and 35 from the city centre stop at bus stop "Sighthill Shops" on Calder Road.
- Services 2,12 and 22 from the city centre stop at bus stop "Bankhead (W)" on Bankhead Drive.
Lothian Buses offers a flat-rate fare of £1.50 for a single journey or you can buy a day ticket for £4.00 which allows unlimited travel on Lothian Buses and Edinburgh Trams, excluding tram journeys to or from Edinburgh Airport.
A Transport for Edinburgh app is available free for smartphones and offers live bus information and electronic ticketing.
The Edinburgh Trams system opened in 2014 and the Bankhead stop is less than 300 metres from our Sighthill campus.
Edinburgh Trams offers a flat-rate fare of £1.50 for a single journey anywhere on the system or £5.00 single if your journey starts or ends at Edinburgh Airport. A £4.00 day ticket allows unlimited travel on Edinburgh Trams and Lothian Buses, excluding tram journeys to or from Edinburgh Airport.

Edinburgh Park railway station is around 1.5km away while Edinburgh Waverley and Haymarket are situated in the city centre. From Edinburgh Waverley, take a Lothian Buses 3,22,or 25 from Princes Street; from Haymarket, take a Lothian Buses 3 or 25 from Dalry Road, or an Edinburgh Tram from directly outside the station.

Edinburgh is home to an expanding network of cycle paths and covered and secure bike storage as well as shower facilities are available at the campus. The City of Edinburgh Council
publishes useful information on planning cycle routes within the city.
The campus is situated on the main A71 road to the west of the city. It is easily accessible from the M8, M9 and Edinburgh City Bypass. Please note that on-campus parking is strictly by permit only, with limited on-street parking available in the surrounding area.
