CareMan (Development of Culture and Quality of Care - Master's Degree Progammes Enhancing Social and Health Care Management Competencies) is a three-year higher education development project which is funded with the support of the Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP) of the European Union.
During the project, the participating universities will develop and pilot three postgraduate modules (10 ECTS credits or 20 SCQF) which focus on social and healthcare leadership and management:
- Human Resources and Knowledge Management
- Quality Management
- Intercultural Management
The aim of this programme is to prepare individuals to effectively manage an integrated health and social care service. The programme will encompass three main issues: Cultural and value-driven leadership, quality of care, and quality management.
CareMan is being coordinated by Lahti UAS, Faculty of Social and Health care and the other consortium partners come from HAMK UAS (FI), Edinburgh Napier (UK), Charles University (CZ) and Évora University (PT).
