Study Abroad

Taking the opportunity to study abroad within a network of partner institutions provides you with a range of benefits and transferrable skills.

You will be able to study in English while experiencing a new social and cultural environment developing your network of contacts internationally. If you choose to study in Europe within the Erasmus+ programme you will receive a grant to help with the costs of living and studying abroad.

Studying abroad, also, significantly increases your future employability. Students who graduated in 2012/13 who spent time abroad during their degree programme, performed significantly better than their colleagues who did not in the following areas:

  • More students were employed within 6 months of graduation.
  • A higher proportion of mobile graduates continued their career progression and now work abroad.
  • On average, students who had study / work experience abroad earned significantly more than their colleagues.
