Luckily, healthy eating options and comfortable places to take a break are never far away. You’ll find welcoming cafés in each of our campuses, offering a range of affordable and tempting meals and snacks.

 

Wherever possible, we stock Fairtrade products, and pride ourselves on the healthy choices we offer. In fact, we’ve been awarded Healthy Living awards at our Craighouse, Craiglockhart and Merchiston campuses - just look for the green apple symbol.

 

Craighouse

 

Located on the ground floor at New Craig, and open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4pm. Great for a hot breakfast, a quick healthy snack or freshly made baguette from the deli bar. Warm up with daily hot lunch specials and healthy, heartwarming soups.

 

Craiglockhart

 

Cybercafé - the hub of the campus, and a great place to meet up for a quick coffee and chat. Try a wickedly delicious Delice de France muffin with your Starbucks cappuccino. Open Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 6.30pm, Friday 7.30am to 5pm and Saturdays during term time.

 

Hydra café - a light and modern café, perfect for breakfast, a healthy snack - including freshly made baguettes - or a hot lunch. Open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4pm.

 

Chapel dining - a quieter dining room off the Hydra café, perfect for a hot lunch or soup and salad. Outside lunch time, it’s just the place to get away from it all for a bit of last minute study before exams. Open for lunch Monday to Friday from 11.30am to 2.30pm.

 

Merchiston

 

Apex Café - fresh coffee, snacks, cakes and drinks in a relaxing, modern atmosphere. Open Monday to Friday 8.15am to 5pm, and Saturday 10am to 3pm during term.

 

Triangle Restaurant - a busy modern restaurant, serving breakfasts, snacks and lunches., including freshly made filled baguettes from our deli bar. Specialty of the house is the cooked-to-order authentic stoneground pizza - available from 3pm to 6pm.

 

Sighthill

 

Atrium - With both a healthy eating cafe offering soup & sandwiches, hot plated meals and snacks, and a Starbucks for a caffeine boost, level 0 of Sighthill campus is the place to be between lectures. Open Monday to Friday, 8am - 3pm (Starbucks until 5pm).
