NHS Lothian and Edinburgh Napier University Inaugural International Conference on Compassionate Care
Uncovering Compassionate Care – the why, what and how of values based care
Date: 9th - 11th June 2010
Venue: Craiglockhart Campus
Synopsis
The conference, held in the historic and beautiful city of Edinburgh, aims to create a forum that stimulates dialogue and learning about compassionate caring and dignity in the complex world of health and social care.
This participative event is aimed at practitioners, managers, educationalists and researchers, as well as those who have a role in shaping the future of care within health and social professions. Participants will have an opportunity at this three day conference to learn novel approaches, network with people across the globe and celebrate innovation and achievements.
The culture of the conference values collaboration, appreciation, critical supported discussion and different ways of sharing knowledge that actively engages participants. We would encourage abstract submissions that work with these values.
