Introduction
This category covers those functions within Edinburgh Napier University that provide access to information for the student body and both academic and administrative staff. These include libraries, computing services, archive services and information support services. Such functions may be managed separately from each other, or in various combinations.
These services routinely explain their facilities (and the conditions of their use) to students, staff and the general public and it is information of this nature that is included within this category.
Library Facilities
Availability and conditions of use of library facilities. Information about who can access systems and services including:

Computing Facilities

Special Collections
Materials held in the University's special collections. This class includes information about both archival material relating to our business and third party archive material gifted to Edinburgh Napier University for permanent preservation upon which access restrictions have been placed by the donor. It also covers archival catalogues (manual or online) or other material describing archival collections.
Individual Schools or departments may have local special collections including guides and catalogues to other archive facilities and special collections. You can request further information on these inlcuding access arrangements, including charges by writing to us at foi@napier.ac.uk.
This includes information about our Edward Clark collection which consists of:
- around 5000 items illustrating the development of the book from the 15th century
- the development of typography
- the techniques of printing illustrations
- fine bindings
We also have a War Poets Collection which includes:
- First edition books and volumes of poetry by Sassoon, Owen and selected contemporary poets
- Biographies and published letters
- Photographs and memorabilia pertaining to the war poets and the history of the Craiglockhart building
- Anthologies of poetry and prose
- Critical works Information regarding the lands and building of Craiglockhart, encompassing various periods in its history
- Information regarding individuals who had connections with Craiglockhart
