Easter Craiglockhart Hill Local Nature Reserve
Edinburgh Napier takes great pride in the fact that half of the Easter Craiglockhart Hill Local Nature Reserve sits on land managed by the University. The Management Plan for the area is currently being updated, but 2004 - 2009 Plan details the work that has been carried out by the Friends of Craiglockhart Wood and Nature Trail Group over the past five years. The Nature Trail Guide for the Local Nature Reserve was refreshed during spring 2010. Download the Nature Trail Guide or contact the Sustainability Office for information on where to find a hard copy.
Easter Craiglockhart Hill Local Nature Reserve was recently awarded a Green Flag for the third year running. The Green Flag is a national standard, recognising and rewarding the best green spaces in the UK.
If you would like to volunteer to help clean-up and maintain the area, please contact the Sustainability Office.
All work carried out at the University links into both the Edinburgh Biodiversity Action Plan and the UK Biodiversity Action Plan
