Job Summary:

This post is critical to the support of the University Corporate Information Systems.  You will work to ensure services and projects are delivered in a customer focussed way, minimising on going support.

You will have experience of ORACLE and one of the following: SQL Server RDMS, UNIX (HPUX/Solaris), Linux or Windows Operating Systems.  You will will work effectively under pressure, document work, have project experience and be customer focussed. 

You should have some work experience as a DBA.  A degree level education is normally required, although you will be considered if you have other qualifications and you experience is particularly relevant.

Additional Information:

Hours of work are 36.25 per week, Monday to Friday.  Flexible working arrangements are available.   The post attracts a generous package including a final salary pension scheme and a market supplement.
