You will work 20 hours per week in one of the University’s research centres within the School of Creative Industries. It is intended that you will provide administrative and secretarial support to the Director of the Centre. You should be educated to HNC/HND level in Secretarial Studies or degree level in Business Studies or a related discipline and significant post qualification experience in an administrative capacity, preferably in a research/consulting or professional office. Experience in financial administration is advantageous.
With good word processing skills, you will also have excellent oral and written communication skills, together with the ability to organise your own work with the minimum of supervision. You must be computer literate with a good proficiency in the use of MS Word and Excel and should possess knowledge of the Internet. You should have a high level of personal motivation and should be able to work effectively on your own initiative and under pressure, if necessary.
