POST TITLE: INFORMATION OFFICER
SALARY: £21,682 - £25,889
(appointments will normally be made on the lowest point of the scale)
You will help ensure that the University’s information and records are well managed and meet our legal responsibilities for Freedom of Information and Data Protection. Assisting the University Records Manager and Data Protection Officer, you will help to develop and implement consistent records management standards and processes. You will co-ordinate responses to Freedom of Information and Data Protection enquiries assigned to you, and will assist departments and train staff to improve their records management. You will also co-ordinate the University’s contract for offsite records storage.
You should be educated to degree level or equivalent and hold a professional qualification in records or information management or another relevant discipline. You must have experience of corporate records management systems, managing projects, maintaining electronic information resources, and applying corporate policies. Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills will be required, as well as an ability to analyse and understand processes.
