ScotGEN Project
12 month fixed-term contract
The Scottish Genetics Education Network (ScotGEN) is a network for all individuals involved in teaching genetics for healthcare in Scotland. ScotGEN was established in 2005 as a collaboration of the four Scottish Clinical Genetics Centres with Scottish Universities. The Faculty of Health, Life & Social Sciences require a learning technologist for the project, who will aid the development of education materials, produce educationally appropriate online multimedia, evaluate the usability and accessibility of online materials, and implement existing software to support project activity.
A graduate in a relevant computing/educational field, or with equivalent experience, you must have experience with e-learning as a developer, teacher or learner. You will have a sound understanding of usability and accessibility issues, and the proven ability to use graphics software and multimedia creation software. Good oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills are essential.
This post will based in Edinburgh but will require travel between Edinburgh and Glasgow on a regular basis.
