Applying
You must apply to graduate or graduate In Absentia by 5pm on Monday 3 June 2013.
The application process will open on Monday 18 March.
To apply, log into Nimweb (accessed via the Student Portal - Your Student Record, then select the Graduation tab).
If you are intending to exit with an award in Year 3, and not continuing to Honours, please remember to inform your School Office that you wish to exit in addition to applying. Graduands have three graduation options:
Attend the ceremony
This allows you to attend the graduation ceremony & reception. The cost to attend is £50 and includes ceremony and reception tickets for yourself and two guests.
Please note a degree will only be conferred once for a linked course, e.g. Degree to Honours Degree: you will not be eligible to participate in a second graduation ceremony should you subsequently qualify.
Graduate In Absentia (don't attend the ceremony)
Even if you do not wish to attend the ceremony, you still need to apply to get your parchment sent by post after the ceremony. The cost to graduate In Absentia is £20 and your parchment will be sent to your home address by recorded delivery (UK addresses only). Parchments sent to addresses outwith the UK will be sent by air mail. Please allow four to six weeks from graduation for delivery.
Defer until the next graduation ceremony
You may attend the graduation ceremony in the autumn of 2013 if you prefer, just email graduations@napier.ac.uk to let us know.
The opportunity to defer is only offered once.
Debtors
If you have a debt to the University which is not cleared before graduation, you will not be permitted to participate in the graduation ceremony or receive your parchment, and your name will not appear in the graduation programme or The Scotsman newspaper.
