Partner of Excellence award for Computing graduate

Gale Macpherson graduated from Edinburgh Napier with a BSc in Computing in 1990.
She recently picked up “Partner of Excellence 2010 – Individual” award at Authorised Partner level for Pegasus Software.
Pegasus Software is a leading supplier of accounting and business software to over 20,000 small and medium sized UK businesses. With 30 years experience, the software has grown from Pegasus Single User to Opera 3, the company’s flagship solution.
Pegasus software is sold and supported by a nationwide Partner network. Gale covers the full product from pre-sale demo, installation, training and continual support via telephone, remote access or on-site visits. She has customers from Glasgow to Arran to Derry in Northern Ireland. During the summer of 2010, a random selection of customers were contacted and asked to comment on the level of service/support from both their dealer, and the individual support personnel within the dealership. Gale’s expertise and commitment to customer service led to her award.
Back in her student days, Gale was based at the original Sighthill Campus. She said:
“I remember Jessie Kennedy fondly from Sighthill. Relational databases and data integrity are two phrases that spring to mind!”
While on campus, Gale learnt how to play squash, a sport she still enjoys today. Gale was also a member of the University’s golf club and recalls playing in her first year on a particularly wet and miserable day – not an enjoyable experience at all! It didn’t put her off, though. She joined a local club on her return from Australia and currently plays off 4.
