	Lawrence Ho Fund awards £30,000 to research project Dr Paul Barron and Dr Anna Leask, Readers in Marketing and Tourism at Edinburgh Napier, have successfully been awarded almost £30,000 from the Lawrence Ho fund.

	Photographer's Work Exhibited at National Theatre in London Mike Swallow's photo of the Imperial War Museum in Salford Quays was highly commended in the Landscape Photographer of the Year Competition. His image will be part of the awards exhibition and accompanying book.
	Graduate awarded Commander and Star and Key of the Indian Ocean Dr Ah Tow, a graduate of Edinburgh Napier’s Economics PhD, was given the award by the government of Mauritius, in recognition of his service to the country.
	Graduate wins Institution of Mechanical Engineers Prize Paul Cummins was named as the UK's Young Member of the Year at the Institution's annual dinner in London.
	Surveying Graduate wins Monaco Internship James Paul fought off competition from across the UK to win an internship with Bouygues, the French Telecoms, Energy and Construction giant.
	Edinburgh Napier graduate nominated for coveted Cannes Festival award Alumna and honorary graduate, film director Dr Lynne Ramsay had her second feature in competition for the Palme d'Or at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
	Doug Johnstone – from nuclear physicist to novelist Edinburgh Napier graduate Doug Johnstone is a writer, musician and journalist, and he’s appearing at this year’s Edinburgh International Book Festival.
	Robert Brandl remembers his time at Edinburgh Napier Robert Brandl took time out from his home university in Munich to study Business Management as part of Edinburgh Napier’s customised programmes over 2002 and 2003.
	Photography graduate's success in Portugal Gonçalo Cunha de Sá graduated in 2000 and returned to Portugal to work as a photo reporter, progressing to commercial work and higher education teaching. He has photographed many personalities and held exhibitions in several european countries.
	Partner of Excellence award for Computing graduate BSc Computing graduate Gale Macpherson picked up an award for her Pegasus Software technical expertise and customer service.
	Nutritionist and TV star Amanda Hamilton looks back at her student days Amanda Hamilton is a leading health expert and nutritionist and runs detox and weight loss retreats around the world. She graduated from Edinburgh Napier with a Communications degree, and since graduating her career has gone from strength to strength.
	Edinburgh Napier alumnus Craig Cockburn’s project for No 10 Craig Cockburn graduated with distinction with an MSc in Large Software Systems Development in 1994. He is currently a freelance project manager, and has worked on a number of high profile initiatives, including a project for the UK government’s website
	University's Moffat Centre helps out - graduate designs Japanese tartan One of the University’s graduates and Moffat Centre businesses has designed a range of tartans aimed at the Japanese market.
	Scottish short films by Edinburgh Napier alumni dominate Birmingham awards Two short films by Edinburgh Napier alumni made the shortlist of four at the Music Video and Screen awards (part of the Black International Film (BIF) festival) in Birmingham, with Ladies who Lunch going on to win Best Short Film.
	Design graduate markets UV monitoring invention Andrew O'Dowd's light-sensitive wristband is designed to help people monitor their UV intake and resulting vitamin D production.
