Edinburgh Napier Honorary Graduate returns for masterclass

Screen Academy Scotland was delighted to welcome back Edinburgh Napier Honorary Graduate Doug Allan in November 2010.

Doug Allan came back to the University to deliver an illustrated lecture and Q & A, focusing on his cinematography work and showing some underwater footage, as well as demonstrating the use of his underwater stills camera.

A respected and award-winning wildlife cameraman, Doug Allan has spent over twenty years filming in some of the planet's toughest and most extreme environments.

He was one of the principal cameramen on the ground breaking, BBC series The Blue Planet and Planet Earth and his awards over his years of filming include 3 Emmys, 3 BAFTAs, Wildscreen Pandas and recognition at Jackson Hole and Missoula festivals.

Doug makes films through Tartan Dragon Ltd, a company he set-up with his wife, Sue Flood, in 2003.
