The vision for The Business School is driven by the University’s vision ‘to be the best modern university in Scotland and among the best in the UK by 2010’. The vision is also informed by the aspirations of The Business School in the context of business and management provision in the UK. It is a realistic but demanding statement of the strategic intent of The Business School as envisioned by the Edinburgh Napier University Business School Executive Team:

Dean of The Business School
Professor George Stonehouse
Professor George Stonehouse is Dean of Edinburgh Napier University's Business School having previously been Associate Dean and Professor of International Strategic Management at Newcastle Business School.
Assistant Deans
Arthur Morrison
Arthur was formerly Associate Dean, Quality & Customer Service. He has a long association with Edinburgh Napier and has served the University in many capacities. His experience and breadth of knowledge will be invaluable in ensuring we deliver a high quality service.
Professor Sandra Watson
Sandra was previously the Associate Dean, Academic Development at Edinburgh Napier University's Business School. She has published over 25 articles and has edited two texts on Human Resource Management and Development. Recent publications include an analysis of managerial skill requirements in Scottish Tourism; evaluation of training initiatives in a period of downsizing in the hospital sector and HRM and Service Quality in the international hotel sector. Sandra has received external recognition for her work through research honorariums, and awards for conference papers, collaborative research and publications.

Professor Anne Munro
Anne is a Reader and was based within the School of Management and Law. Anne’s extensive research knowledge and external reputation in her field will help us build and expand our research base and help us to manage our many and varied strands of research.
