Brief Biography
Professor Raeside has research interests in the application of statistics to businesses and to understanding demographic and societal change and a number of publications have been produced in these areas and a number of PhD students supervised. Currently the focus of his research is on how relationships and effects in either society or business can be measured. In this work he is supervising a team of six PhD researchers. Collaborative work in these areas is being undertaken in Bangladesh and Germany.
Professor Raeside is affiliated to the Employment Research Institute and Transport Research Institute of Edinburgh Napier University.
Professor Raeside is also involved in consultation projects in survey analysis, forecasting and performance measurement and has worked with clients in the electronics, finance and biotechnology sectors as well as with public service organisations.
