Research College
The Business School Research College has six key clusters each with a number of sub-themes as detailed below.

The key clusters are Employment Research Institute, Leadership and Management Practice, Business & Management Learning and Pedagogy, Consumer Research, Accounting and Finance and Centre for Law.
Employment Research Institute (ERI)
The Employment Research Institute (ERI) research areas relate to employment, in particular labour markets, employment policies, work life balance, regional local economic development, transport, entrepreneurship, human resource management.

The research which is currently being carried out in the Centre of Law in the field of public law comprises environmental law, especially noise law (Professor Francis McManus), international and human rights law, including that relating to mental health (Mrs Christina Ashton and Dr Jill Stavert), constitutional law and administrative law (Mr Barry Winetrobe) and media law (Mr Zhongdong Niu and Mr Douglas Maule). In the realm of private law research is being conducted in child and education law (Ms Lesley-Anne Barnes), business law, especially company law and the law of bankruptcy (Mr Nicholas Grier) and the law of delict (Professor McManus).
