School of Management
The School of Management is one of the three schools within The Business School. The School consists of three subject areas: Strategic and Operations Management, Entrepreneurship and People and Organisational Development.
The School is host to approximately 1600 students, split 2/3 undergraduate and 1/3 postgraduate and professional. Within this, the School manages the largest undergraduate programme in the University, the BA (Hons) Business Studies (Sandwich), together with a range of joint honours programmes and the BA (Hons) International Business Management.
The School also offers a range of postgraduate/ professional programmes including the MBA, MSc Business Management, MSc Managerial Leadership and the MSc Human Resource Management which is accredited by the CIPD.
If you are accepted on to one of our courses you will study at our stunning Craiglockhart Campus where you will join one of the largest and most successful undergraduate business schools in Scotland. Our courses promote leadership and management practice, equipping you to follow in the footsteps of our existing graduates and benefit from our outstanding reputation for employability. They also include guest lectures from industry specialists, placements, supervised work experience and live projects with industry.
The School has strong links with industry and offers opportunities for student work experience and hosts many industry speakers within its programmes. The School attracts many international students through its international links with other academic institutions. Opportunities exist for students to study abroad in some programmes of study.
The research and consultancy interests with in the School are Human Resource Management; Business Improvement Practices; Public Sector Management and Legal issues; Learning and Multimedia Case Study Development.
