The Project Development Unit has secured and managed over £8million in development funds for running projects, of which over £2million in European Social Fund grant has funded development projects within Edinburgh Napier University's academic departments. We have extensive knowledge of European and other external funding and can help to create, secure funding for, and manage a successful project. Internal projects have included supporting academic departments in the writing of new masters courses and the development of online learning modules - particularly in the areas of health, business, creative industries, informatics and infrastructure, which are key priority areas for the University. Our external projects extend the work of Edinburgh Napier University to a wider audience and include business development, business creation and community programmes which target key sectors and market groups.
We work in partnership with a external businesses and organisations, such as Scottish Enterprise, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, local authorities and other further and higher education institutions. A number of our models have been adapted and used by external organisations, both in the UK and elsewhere in Europe. In this way, we continue to support knowledge transfer and the internationalisation of activities within the University.
