Success Stories - Transition to Employment
A tailored version of the "Networking" workshop is delivered to final year BA Film & Photography students as part of their LMD10102 Professional Development module. The workshop is designed to develop the skills of networking and "pitching" that are of particular value for students destined for professional fields dominated by freelance work and self-employment. The workshop is also designed to contribute to a successful transition into employment, by providing students with an opportunity to devise and pitch proposals for activities using their coursework and portfolios to establish themselves professionally.

"The session on 'networking': I mapped my own network which inspired me to contact the Management Consultment for whom I had worked fifteen years ago. I had a face-to-face meeting with him and on the back of this, a meeting with the Regional Director - this led to one of my two job offers"
