What is "Get that Job!"?
Get that Job! is a 2-day, fulltime and intensive course, run by Careers and Confident Futures with invited industry professionals, that offers you the opportunity to acquire the skills, knowledge and understanding to sell yourself effectively to employers in today’s highly competitive job market.The course consists of a structured and interactive process to guide you in creating a job seeking strategy that is tailored to your aspirations. The course also provides you with an opportunity to meet with industry professionals and gain further advice about how best to approach the currently competitive job market.
A variety of interesting and challenging activities will help to:
- identify your personal strengths and development needs
- learn techniques to sell yourself effectively to employers
- develop key skills via 'masterclasses' in Interview skills, Networking and Action Planning
- meet with invited professionals at a lunch to practise your networking skills and benefit from their professional advice
Who is the course open to?
Get that Job! is open to all Edinburgh Napier students and Alumni up to three years who are looking for employment. It is recommended to attend the course 6 months before applying for jobs so that you have time to modify your CV, practice your interview skills and develop a job hunting and networking strategy that sets you apart from others.
When does the course run?
Get that Job! The next course will be running Merchiston Wed 14th - Thurs 15th December 2011!

How much does it cost?
Get that Job!
is
FREE. However, a refundable £20 deposit is required to secure a place. This deposit is returned after you have attended both days of the course.
