Meet the Team

Dr Rosie Doyle

Confident Futures Personal and Professional Development Facilitator

Rosie is the team’s key contact for the Schools of Arts and Creative Industries, Computing, and Management.

Before joining the team, Rosie worked as a Teaching Fellow in Organisation Studies at St Andrews University Management School. Her early career was in arts and leisure management, as a marketing development and research consultant for arts clients such as Sheffield Crucible Theatre, the National Gallery and the Arts Council of England, and has worked in personal and professional development since 1998. She has a MA in Knowledge and Human Resource Management from Lancaster University, and an Advanced Diploma in Person-centred Counselling from Sheffield Hallam University. She was awarded her PhD from University of St Andrews in 2009.

Trish Igoe

Confident Futures Personal and Professional Development Facilitator

Trish is the team’s key contact for the Schools of Accounting, Financial Services and Law, Engineering and Built Environment, and Nursing, Midwifery and Social Care.

Prior to joining the team, Trish worked extensively in the areas of training, HR management and professional development, including having responsibility for managing the development of 3,500 staff globally within the finance sector. Trish gained her first degree from University College Dublin, then obtained a Masters in Personnel Development at the University of Westminster, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy at the University of Strathclyde, before training as a Master NLP practitioner. She is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel & Development and a Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.  Trish currently runs a private part-time counselling practice alongside her job at Edinburgh Napier University.

Anne MacNab

Confident Futures Personal and Professional Development Facilitator

Anne is the team’s key contact for the Schools of Life, Sport & Social Sciences, and Marketing, Tourism and Languages.

On graduating from the University of Stirling in Management Science and Psychology, Anne initially worked in the Finance Sector before spending 10 years with Diageo in senior management roles, latterly in management development.  Anne has also worked as Business Development Manager for a voluntary sector counselling practice before entering Higher Education in 2006. Before joining Edinburgh Napier Anne ran a Mentoring Programme at Heriot Watt University, whilst also running her own part-time business, which she continues alongside her current role, offering coaching and facilitation/training workshops within the private and 3rd sector.

Mo Andrew

Confident Futures Personal and Professional Development Facilitator

Mo’s special responsibility within the team is to lead the personal development work for our Scottish domiciled students, which is funded by the Big Lottery. Mo joined the University having spent over 30 years in the business sector. Her latest job was as part of a strategic team of performance consultant and training providers for a large corporate business employing around 30,000 people. She has business qualifications from the Institute of Leadership and Management, the Scottish Qualifications Authority and Capital Quality and Performance Consulting UK.

Confident Futures Co-ordinator

The role of the Confident Futures Coordinator is to schedule, co-ordinate and resource the workshops that are delivered throughout the academic year. The Coordinator is the first point of contact for general enquiries from students and staff about Confident Futures activities and is also responsible for the Confident Futures website and all promotional materials.

Jenny Westwood

Confident Futures Team Leader

As leader of the Confident Futures team, Jenny has responsibility for ensuring that the design, delivery and evaluation of its programme promotes and supports Edinburgh Napier’s vision, mission, and values, including the development of ‘confident employable graduates’ and the ‘pursuit of excellence’(Strategy 2009-15). Additionally, Jenny contributes to the University’s graduate attributes work, and is a member of the Induction Steering Group.

Prior to working at Edinburgh Napier, Jenny worked for many years within the FE, adult education, and secondary school sectors. She gained her degree at the University of Liverpool and has several professional qualifications in the fields of teaching, training and development.
