Purpose of this workshop
To identify effective techniques for setting motivational goals.
Setting clear goals for yourself ensures that your effort and resources are directed at planning to succeed at the things that are important to you, rather than simply “hoping for the best”. This workshop encourages you to create supportive and measurable actions to help you achieve your goals. It also provides guidance on prioritising your actions and focusing on what resources you already have or need to find.
Content of this workshop
This workshop uses the basic rules for the formulation of sound goals and offers tools to make the process of creating supportive actions easier and more productive. You will identify what is important for you to achieve and then create specific descriptions of exactly what action you need to take to achieve it. The process will challenge you to be very clear on what you want to achieve in order to maximise the likelihood of successfully achieving it.
By the end of this workshop you will have:
- developed a structured method for setting clear personal goals
- applied a process to specify exactly what you need to do to achieve your goals
- created at least one key goal with relevant actions to move your education, employment or other personal prospects forward
