Conference

The FECCI Research Students’ Conference is an annual event. It is a showcase for the wide range of research activity in the Faculty and a chance for you to present papers and posters in a supportive environment. Participation at the conference is expected of all students. Much of the work of the organising committee is done by research students. It is a great learning experience, it is also a lot of fun.

FECCI Research Conference Thursday 29 May 2008

The theme of this year's event is Making Connections. The purpose of the day is to communicate your work to a non-specialist audience, and to capitalise on opportunties to network with other research students, academic staff and external visitors.

Our research conference attracts to the University external visitors from a host of local businesses. We extend a warm welcome to local companies who already work with us on work-based learning placements, research and knowledge transfer projects and other collaborative research.

We hope that Making Connections will foster new relationships, new ideas and new directions.

We have an exciting Programme comprising guest lectures, papers by first year students, papers by third year students and posters by second year students. The keynote lecturer is Dr Jon Turner, UK GRAD Hub Director for Scotland and Northern Ireland.
