Applied Psychology & Social Research Group
The APSRG was formed in 2009, bringing together staff engaged in social science and applied psychology research. Our aim is to promote understanding of the individual and society within the themes of: Childhood, Adulthood & Older Age, Cognition, Perception & Action, Crime & Violence, Experiencing Health & Illness, Migration, Mobilities & Culture, and Subjectivity, Identities & Ethics. Please use the navigation links on the right to find out more about current topics of research interest
The group is committed to engaging researchers, practitioners, policy makers and members of the public in its research through a range of knowledge exchange activities. We collaborate with a number of other universities and a range of agencies including the City of Edinburgh Council, Community Food & Health Scotland, the NHS, Women’s Aid, and Strathclyde Police.
We hold a monthly seminar series.
