Sport Performance Enhancement
Sport science is increasingly being recognized as a key element in the comprehensive preparation of performers across a range of sports. In the lead up to the London Olympic Games in 2012 and the Glasgow Commonwealth Games in 2014, there will be opportunities for sport scientists with a blend of theoretical knowledge and applied skills to work in many areas supporting the identification and development of potential elite performers.
The Sport Performance Enhancement programme will give you a very strong foundation from which to exploit these opportunities.
This programme can be studied Full-Time or Part-Time
Research in Sport and Exercise Science is ideal for students who are particularly interested in a specific research area at masters level and provides an excellent platform for progression to PhD-level study. The MSc by research is the equivalent of one third of a PhD and thus mainly consists of a major research project. This project is then complemented by formal research methods training provided within the School of Sport, Life & Social Sciences.
