In response to interest from architects and engineers, the Wood Studio organised a full-day workshop to de-mystify the term modified timber. Delegates were provided with clear and objective design and specification advice, understanding what the term ' modified timber' covers, the construction applications and the technical and production standards to be referred to when specifying.
Professor Callum Hill, Director of the Centre for Wood Science and Technology and author of Wood Modification - Chemical Thermal and other Processes, introduced the subject
