With the drive towards sustainable construction, the use of timber as a primary building and engineering material is steadily increasing. This is creating more and more opportunities and demand for engineers who want (and are able to) work with the unique, low carbon resource that is timber.
The MSc Timber Engineering is unique in the UK. It helps meet the above demand through developing engineers with the diverse range of skills needed to become a competent and resourceful timber engineer (equipped with the relevant training in analysis, design and assessment of timber structural systems).
The course is offered by Edinburgh Napier’s School of Engineering and the Built Environment and is available in Full-time, Part-time and Distance Learning modes.
Modules include: ▲ Analysis and Timber Design (1) ▲Project Management ▲Timber Materials Application ▲Timber Form and Construction ▲Sustainable Building Design ▲ Analysis and Timber Design (2) ▲ Dissertation
