Biography

Gwenne is a lecturer and PhD student at Edinburgh Napier University and has been involved in nurse education over 10 years. Gwenne is an active member of the Mental Health Nurse Academic (UK) group.
Gwenne has research interest in MHN Education, Involvement and Co-production, Therapeutic engagement in mental health practice and Family carers of people with dementia.
Gwenne's background has been varied having worked in community mental health practice, the voluntary sector and then primary care before moving into education. Gwenne is currently a lecturer on undergraduate and post graduate programmes run in the UK and internationally relating to nursing and health care. Gwenne also works locally with patient and carer advocacy groups and organisations as an advisory member and is currently chair of Edinburgh Carers Council, a unique mental health carer advocacy organisation.
