Doctor Steven Logie is Director of Edinburgh Napier University's School Support Service; a professional service that brings together staff from across the ex-faculty structures to provide a new unified support to the University's six academic schools. A key purpose of the new service is to deliver excellent, consistent, effective and resilient support services that are transparent, responsive and accountable to the academic communities it serves.
Steven has worked at Edinburgh Napier University since 2002, and was previously Faculty Manager for the Faculty of Health, Life & Social Sciences, Assistant Director of Corporate Affairs, Clerk to the University Court, and Head of Business & Administration for the Faculty of Engineering, Computing & Creative Industries.
He served from 2011-15 as the member of the University Court (the governing body) elected by the University’s non-academic staff and has participated in a wide number of the university's committees, working groups and strategic review groups.
Before joining the University, Steven worked as Service Planning Manager for a national division of the NHS in Scotland and undertook a number of roles at the University of Aberdeen, including acting as business manager for a large research unit.
Steven has an undergraduate degree from the Robert Gordon University, a professional Diploma in Management and an MBA from the Open University, as well as PRINCE2 accreditation in project management.
He recently obtained a doctorate (DBA) from Edinburgh Napier University for a programme of work entitled Exploring Entrepreneurship & Organisational Culture within a Higher Education Context.
