Recontextualising the lived experience of hepatitis C and its treatment
Recent years have witnessed a rapid evolution in the treatment available for hepatitis C in Scotland. Unprecedented pharmacological advances have transformed what was once a long, arduous and poorly efficacious therapy into a fast, well-tolerated and successful cure. How these developments in the hepatitis C landscape are being understood and experienced by those living with the virus is currently unknown. My area of research seeks to provide insight into perceptions of living with hepatitis C, in a new era of therapy.
