Revolutionising Trauma care in Scotland and Beyond
PThe impact of psychological trauma on physical and mental health is well known, although current models of care are failing to meet clients’ needs. A new model of care, supported and financed by the Scottish Government, will be tested for the very first time in the Rivers Centre for Traumatic Stress. The model joins up health, social care and third sector services to deliver holistic trauma care across the lifespan. We have been planning to submit an application for funding for a robust evaluation of this model to NIHR but we require some additional information, including evidence of feasibility, recruitment, optimum impact/outcome measures, and sample size calculation to refine our design and provide a robust case for funding
