School of Computing

We are one of the largest schools of computing in Scotland and offer a wide range of programmes at undergraduate, masters and doctoral levels in all areas of computing.

We provide a modern, supportive learning environment with excellent computing facilities, including laboratories for Linux users and Mac fans, and a new games development lab.  

Our programmes have a practical focus, leading to good career prospects for all our graduates. Our undergraduate programmes are accredited by professional bodies and we are also a Cisco Academy, and part of both the Microsoft Developer Network Academic Alliance and the VMWare Academy Program. We are also able to offer opportunities to gain industry recognised certification in computer networking.

All our programmes are supported by staff research activity. In keeping with our practical focus we are heavily involved in projects which transfer knowledge to industry and are the sole Scottish school of computing to have won national prizes for this work in three consecutive years.
