Entry requirements, scholarships and keeping in touch for students from Nigeria.
Students with the WAEC/NECO West African Senior School Certificate would generally be required an International Foundation Programme to be considered for entry to year one of our bachelor courses.
You can find more information about EIC and the courses they provide here.
We have a partner college, Edinburgh International College (EIC), who are located on our University campus. They offer a number of pathway foundation programmes onto our bachelor. You would study year one with EIC and then transfer to complete years two, three and four at Edinburgh Napier University.
Students will be eligible to apply if they have gained a bachelor degree with a lower second class (2:2) or above.
Students who are applying to an undergraduate programme are required to have complete WAEC/NECO English Language with a grade C6 or better.
Students applying to a postgraduate programme are not required to take an English language test like IELTS, as long as the bachelor degree was taught and examined in English.
Students from Nigeria are considered for our African Postgraduate Scholarship and there are a number of different scholarships available to help reduce the cost of studying at Edinburgh Napier University.
