Entry requirements
Undergraduate
For all courses students would usually be required to have completed the Atestats par visparejo videjo izglitibu with a minimum grade of 7 or above and with 70% in two State Exams. If a course requires a specific subject at grade B at SQA Higher then 70% in that subject will be required.
Please note that international students are unable to enrol onto the Nursing programmes.
International Baccalaureate
Award of Diploma with between 26 and 29 points or above depending on the course you choose to apply for. If a course requires a specific subject at grade B at SQA Higher then grade 5 or above in HL is required. Please see each individual course webpage for specific entry requirements.
European Baccalaureate
Pass with between 60 and 70% depending on the course you choose to apply for. If a course requires a specific subject at grade B at SQA Higher than 70% is required. Please see each individual course webpage for specific entry requirements.
Postgraduate
Students with Bakalaura Diploms / Profesionālā Bakalaura Diploms (equivalent to British Bachelor (Honours) degree standard from 2002 onwards) are required to have a 6/10 or above (2:2) or 7/10 or above (2:1).
If students have the Diploms par augstako profesionalo izgilitbu (Level V) - Professional Higher Education Programme qualification, 5 years’ work experience is required as it is equivalent to the SQA Higher National Diploma (HND) standard.

We offer various pre-sessional English language programmes for applicants who have test results below the programme requirement. Some courses may require a higher English language score. Please search for the course you're interested in to find out more.
Pathway programmes
Edinburgh Napier University International College (ENUIC) is an embedded on campus college for international students to start their studies at Edinburgh Napier University. It is located in the historic, city centre campus of Merchiston, with easy access to student accommodation.
Pathway programmes at ENUIC prepare students for their chosen future degree with academic and English language support. ENUIC offers students the option between International Stage One, International Stage Two, or an International Incorporated Masters.

English language requirement – IELTS 5.5 with no less than 5.5 in each component.
Academic requirement - Atestāts par vispārējo vidējo izglītību (Certificate of General Secondary Education) OR Diploms par arodizglītību (Diploma of Vocational Education) with Minimum grade 4/10 (pass)
International Year Two
English language requirement – IELTS 5.5 with no less than 5.5 in each component.

Postgraduate
International Incorporated Masters
– One Term IELTS 6.0 overall with 5.5 minimum in all components
– Two Terms IELTS 5.5 overall with 5.5 minimum in all components
Academic requirement - Bakalaura Diploms (Bachelor degree) with minimum overall average of 5
