Entry requirements
Undergraduate
For all courses students would usually be required to have completed the Swiadectwo Dojrzalosci (Certificate of Maturity) with 65% in three extended level subjects. If a course requires a specific subject at grade B at SQA Higher then 65% at Advanced Level will be required.
Please note that international students are unable to enrol onto the Nursing programmes.
International Baccalaureate
Award of Diploma with between 26 and 29 points or above depending on the course you choose to apply for. If a course requires a specific subject at grade B at SQA Higher then grade 5 or above in HL is required. Please see each individual course webpage for specific entry requirements.
European Baccalaureate
Pass with between 60 and 70% depending on the course you choose to apply for. If a course requires a specific subject at grade B at SQA Higher then 70% is required. Please see each individual course webpage for specific entry requirements.
Postgraduate
A Licencjat / Inzynier (awarded from 2002) or a Magister with an overall grade of 4.0 or above. These requirements are a guide only - there may be exceptions for some courses.
English language
Students from Poland are required to sit an English language test to gain entry to University.

We offer various pre-sessional English language programmes for applicants who have test results below the programme requirement. Some courses may require a higher English language score. Please search for the course you're interested in to find out more.
Pathway programmes
Edinburgh Napier University International College (ENUIC) is an embedded on campus college for international students to start their studies at Edinburgh Napier University. It is located in the historic, city centre campus of Merchiston, with easy access to student accommodation.
Pathway programmes at ENUIC prepare students for their chosen future degree with academic and English language support. ENUIC offers students the option between International Stage One, International Stage Two, or an International Incorporated Masters.
Undergraduate
International Year One
English language requirement – IELTS 5.5 with no less than 5.5 in each component.
Academic requirement - Świadectwo Ukończenia Liceum Ogólnokształcącego (Certificate of Completion from a General Lyceum without the state Matura exam) With pass: “satisfactory/Acceptable” (Dostateczny/Dopuszczający) or 2.5/6 OR Świadectwo Dojrzałości Certificate of Maturity (Matura) Pass Matura with a minimum average of 30% (GPA from at least 3 exams on basic and/or extended level)
International Year Two
English language requirement – IELTS 5.5 with no less than 5.5 in each component.
Academic requirement - Świadectwo Dojrzałości (Certificate of Maturity) with minimum average of 40% (GPA from at least 3 exams on basic and/or extended level)
Postgraduate
International Incorporated Masters
– One Term IELTS 6.0 overall with 5.5 minimum in all components
– Two Terms IELTS 5.5 overall with 5.5 minimum in all components
Academic requirement - Licencjat / Inżynier (Bachelor degree) with minimum of 3/5 (or out of 6)
