Entry requirements
Undergraduate
For all courses students would usually be required to have completed the Maturitetno Spricevalo (Matura Certificate) with a minimum grade of 20 or above. If a course requires a specific subject at grade B at SQA Higher then grade 4 in that subject will be required.
For the following courses students would usually be required to have completed the Maturitetno Spricevalo with a minimum grade of 3 or above:
BSc Building Surveying, BSc Real Estate Surveying, BSc Quantity Surveying, BA Acting & English.
Please note that international students are unable to enrol onto the Nursing programmes.
International Baccalaureate
Award of Diploma with between 26 and 29 points or above depending on the course you choose to apply for. If a course requires a specific subject at grade B at SQA Higher then grade 5 or above in HL is required. Please see each individual course webpage for specific entry requirements.
European Baccalaureate
Pass with between 60 and 70% depending on the course you choose to apply for. If a course requires a specific subject at grade B at SQA Higher than 70% is required. Please see each individual course webpage for specific entry requirements.
Postgraduate
- Diploma o pridobljeni univerzitetni izobrazbi (University Degree)
- Diploma o pridobljeni visoki strokovni izobrazbi / Diplomirani (Diploma of Professional Higher Education)
- Diplomant (Professionally oriented first-cycle degree)
- Univerzitetni diplomant (Academically oriented first-cycle degree)
All qualifications above are equivalent to a British Bachelor (Honours) degree standard and require a grade of 7/10 or above (2:2) or (2:1) or 4.0/5.0 or 3.0/4.0.
English language
Students are required to sit an English language test to gain entry to the University.

We also offer various pre-sessional English language programmes for applicants who have test results below the programme requirement.

Pathway programmes
Edinburgh Napier University International College (ENUIC) is an embedded on campus college for international students to start their studies at Edinburgh Napier University. It is located in the historic, city centre campus of Merchiston, with easy access to student accommodation.
Pathway programmes at ENUIC prepare students for their chosen future degree with academic and English language support. ENUIC offers students the option between International Stage One, International Stage Two, or an International Incorporated Masters.

International Year One
English language requirement – IELTS 5.5 with no less than 5.5 in each component.
Academic requirement - Maturitetno spričevalo (Matura Certificate) or Spričevalo o poklicni maturi (Vocational Matura) with minimum pass of 2/5
International Year Two
English language requirement – IELTS 5.5 with no less than 5.5 in each component.
Academic requirement - Maturitetno spričevalo (Matura Certificate) or Spričevalo o poklicni maturi (Vocational Matura) with minimum average of 2.5/5
Postgraduate
International Incorporated Masters
– One Term IELTS 6.0 overall with 5.5 minimum in all components
– Two Terms IELTS 5.5 overall with 5.5 minimum in all components
