Entry requirements, scholarships and keeping in touch for students from the Philippines

Entry requirements

Undergraduate

Students from the Philippines would generally be required an International Foundation Programme to be considered for entry to year one of our bachelor courses.

We have a partner college, Edinburgh International College (EIC), who are located on our University campus. They offer a number of pathway foundation programmes onto our bachelor.  You would study year one with EIC and then transfer to complete years two, three and four at Edinburgh Napier University.

You can find more information about EIC and the courses they provide here.

Postgraduate

Students will be eligible to apply if they have gained one of the following qualifications with an overall grade of “Good” or above:

  • Bachelor degree from a Prestigious University (Asian Institute of Management, Ateneo de Manila University, De La Salle University, University of Santo Tomas, University of the Philippines) or a Centre of Excellence with two years relevant work experience.
  • Certificate/Diploma from Centre of Excellence or Prestigious University
  • Master’s Degree from Asian Institute of Management, Ateneo de Manila University, De La Salle University, University of Santo Tomas, University of the Philippines

English language

Students whose native language is not English, will need to present evidence of your English language level. We currently accept the IELTS test and our general requirement is 6.0 overall with no element below 5.5.

We offer various pre-sessional English language programmes for applicants who have test results below the programme requirement. Some courses may require a higher English language score. Please search for the course you're interested in to find out more.
