The film Itu Ninu by Itandehui Jansen, Programme Lead for the MA Film at Edinburgh Napier University, has just received the Grand Prize at the Arizona International Film Festival.

Itu Ninu is a practice-based research project, by Edinburgh Napier academic Itandehui Jansen, exploring Indigenous climate narratives and sustainable filmmaking. Since October 2023 the film has screened at over 15 international film festivals, including the Morelia International Film Festival, the Curacao International Film Festival, the San Diego Latino Film Festival, and IndiFest in Barcelona. The film was just awarded the Grand Prize at the Arizona International Film Festival in Tucson, Texas, United States.
