Digital Media Global student, Connall Morrison, on his time at Edinburgh Napier, including internships in Stuttgart and Gothenburg.
Connall worked in Germany for 7 months, helping to create a short documentary on assisted suicide for Hochschule der Medien. The documentary explored assisted suicide beyond prejudice and stigma. This was a trans-European production between Germany, UK and Switzerland requiring a high degree of international coordination.
"My responsibilities included sourcing story ideas and forward planning, assigning duties to our team, liaising with international businesses and charities to encourage communication and a fair discussion of the topic at hand. Writing kick-starter campaigns and making sure pre-production ran smoothly across all fronts."
The course has allowed me to investigate my interests within the diverse field of study and help me focus my career goals and turned my attention to the production of interactive film.

During a 3 month Creative Internship in Norrkoping, Sweden, Connall worked with our exchanges team to create an interactive guide for Digital Media students considering to study abroad in their 3rd year.
“Digital Media Global has offered me opportunities which I never thought I would have travelling to Germany and Sweden, learning languages and making new friends whilst engaging in my studies further afield. The friendly and approachable lecturers have guided me along the way.”
