It is an exciting time to join Edinburgh Napier University and as a member of the University's Senior Leadership Group, the Dean will play a key part in the achievement of our Strategy 2020. The four key pillars of our strategy are:

The successful candidate will create a compelling vision and strategy for the School, manage a multi-million pound budget and provide the leadership to attract, retain and motivate the best possible academic staff. They will grow the School's research base, provide outstanding teaching for our students and develop an inspiring environment for staff to develop their careers. Ideally a role model of our values (ambitious, professional, innovative and inclusive), with excellent communication skills and a passion for the higher education sector.
As a leader within a University, the Dean will have the ability to deliver outstanding performance. They will also possess exceptional influencing and networking skills with the ability to identify and nurture areas of opportunity which support student employability, investment and growth.
