This learning experience will be of value to anyone who aspires to be a leader in board governance. Participants will be able to clearly differentiate themselves in an increasingly competitive international marketplace as confident, experienced leaders in board governance, bringing to any organisation a highly valued skillset, blending cutting-edge academic theory with practical application.
This is open to individuals who wish to build a strong track record in leadership and a demonstrable ambition, commitment and passion for developing themselves and in pursuing a suitable board-level opportunity. You should preferably hold an Honours degree and/or have several years of work experience, although other qualifications/experience will be considered on an individual basis.
On successful completion of this course, including assessment on a group presentation and individual Portfolio of Practice, you'll gain a Certificate of Credit with 20 credits at Postgraduate Level. You will also be eligible for one year free ‘Affiliate Member’ membership of the Association of Corporate Governance Practitioners (ACGP), where further professional development opportunities may be gained to achieve higher grades of professional recognition (i.e. Associate, Full and Fellow).
At the end of LiBG you will be able to use your portfolio to demonstrate your enhanced competencies in terms of the knowledge, skills and mind-set to perform effectively as a board member.
