We teach the diverse professional skills required in engineering and construction.
Close links with leading organisations and employers keep our degrees relevant to sector needs, and all programmes have a high proportion of transferable skills inbuilt.
We are widely recognised for expertise and excellence in sustainable construction and transport, and we are home to the Institute for Sustainable Construction and the Transport Research Institute.
The aim of SEBE is to produce graduates useful in the world of work from their first day of employment whatever their programme of study.
Our links with industry
The School keeps abreast of the needs of industry and employers through its Industrial and Professional Advisory Committee with representatives from a number of companies. Their input directly informs our programme curriculum and approaches to teaching and learning.
We offer a range of construction, surveying and engineering degree courses, preparing you with all the skills you'll need beyond graduation.
Through our research and teaching we look at the technical and social context of communities. We are working to develop new methods and standards that optimise the sustainable performance of the buildings and communities that we live and work in.
