Biography

Andres Robles studied his bachelor in Systems Engineering at University of Cuenca, Ecuador. His bachelor thesis was the implementation of push applications on platforms, Blackberry and Android, aimed at mobile advertising with georeferencing. He joined the industry in 2008 when he started working in a financial institution in Ecuador. In 2014 Andres obtained a scholarship from the Ecuadorian government and moved to Edinburgh to start his MSc in Advanced Security and Digital Forensics at Napier University. His master project was a practical study of Intrusion Detection Systems on Software Defined Networks. Andres finished his MSc in 2015 with distinction and was awarded University Medal Winner. In the same year, he started working in a financial institution as Information Security Administrator in Ecuador. He joined Edinburgh Napier University in 2017 as research student, his research area is Industrial Control System Security Analysis and Countermeasures.
