Andrew principally works within the discipline of 4th Wall Design. This approach to interaction design, which Andrew is pioneering, focuses on the interactions and relationship that products and smart systems must facilitate and instigate. Beyond the Ramsian view of efficient utility this philosophy also introduces the Heideggerian views on being. Positing a performative interaction between human and object/space.
He has over 10 years of international academic and industrial experience in the fields of electronics, computing, product design engineering, interaction design, and new media art.
Andrew is currently a PhD candidate on the Design programme within the School of Fine Arts at the Universidade do Porto.
