Biography

Brian qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG (formerly Peat Marwick Mitchell) in Edinburgh in 1987 and worked with the firm for eight years including a two year secondment to Melbourne, Australia. He joined Napier from the profession in 1991 specialising in financial accounting and auditing. Over the last 20-25 years, Brian has built up considerable international educational experience involving overseas programme leadership; developing collaborative programmes (in Hong Kong, mainland China & Singapore); establishing articulation links; leading on local professional body and government accreditations; programme approvals and undertaking extensive teaching and recruitment activities. More recently undertaken a number of leadership roles within the Business School including: Assistant Dean; Academic Director; Head of Accountancy, Finance & Law; and Academic Lead for Learning & Teaching.
