Biography
Carrie Day is a PhD Research student at Edinburgh Napier. They are also a producer, writer-director and cinematographer for fiction films, shorts and docs. Carrie runs a project called Creative Ensemble, based in Glasgow which calls for the development of more inclusive, mythical aware and collaborative styles of film making.
Their research looks at the effects of inserting a well being model into the design of film production in regards to creative outlay and making provision for greater inclusivity. They utilise practice based research methods and are interested individual and collaborative autoethnography as a way of collecting and presenting data.
They have a BA Hons Fine Art (Cardiff), PGC Education (Birmingham Uni), a Masters in Fine Art (DJCAD, Dundee) an MSc in Counselling (Abertay) and a BA (Hons) Digital filmmaking SAE Institute, Glasgow (2023) First class.
